Rhythms

This is a feverish collection of work, some dense and sylvan, others chaotically psychedelic. I titled these pages rhythms, because in many of the paintings the images are so dense, that all one sees at first are writhing forms creating rhythms across the canvas. They seem almost abstract, but on closer inspection one can see that the whole canvas is filled with figures.

Other pieces are more abstract, more about finding the forms through gestures of paint, like a form of auto suggestion, I make a mark, it turns into an eye, or a nostril. I am guided by the brush in my hand, like I am a vessel through which these images pass onto canvas.
