Some of these paintings are straightforward, naturalistic portraits of the sitter in their own environment. In others I've focused on something about the way I see the subject, or an idea of the model's, and the result is something almost theatrical - a portrait as a mythologicial persona, in a fantastical setting, or an interpretation of the subject's astrolgical profile in paint.
